Ang Inet!
Okay. I’m here again waiting for my sister who’s currently taking her admission test. I’ve been itching to raise my legs since it’s already been hours that I’m typing and browsing with my laptop well, here on my lap. Mainit sya in fairness. So. My spine’s getting numb and as I said, I wanted to raise my legs on the bench but I’m not sure if it’s fine cos so far I haven’t seen anybody around sitting in that comfy position. So here I am, trying to stay formal and dainty hihi but man, naninigas na batok at likod ko :|.
Anyway,by God’s grace, my sister’s joining Ms. Isabela this May so big hurrah for her! She really wanted to become a beauty queen ever since I can remember and I guess this is her much awaited biggest break, so far. Mind you, this’ll be her first time to join a real pageant so no pressure from any of us, we just want her to enjoy every moment and learn from her would-be experiences. I tried joining one before, I meant I joined some but I guess beauty pageants are just not my cup of tea. It’s fun, yes, being the center of attention to a lot of people, watching them smile and whistle and give you rounds and rounds of applause and receiving products from some sponsors and etc. It really is fun. Pero kasi dudeparechong, I hate wearing makeup. I don’t know, but it gives me the feeling that I’m not being myself or something close to that. I don’t like to smile when I feel like not smiling, and I don’t like to wear bikinis just so guys would drool. I hate showing myself off to others. Okay, enough of me.
So I thought, the least I can do for my sister is to give her tips about the system in pageants and to help her with the question and answer part. I tried googling for Bambanti festival which happens to be Isabela’s prime festival, who knows, she might just pick a nerdy nerdy judge who wants to know more about this so, nothing to lose I guess. So that’s what I’ll do. I’ll list down common questions for pageants as well as the terms which could come in handy and the possible answers which could sound appealing to the audience, kahit na medyo mababaw lang hehe.
Having these things for the rest of my vacation, I think no beach muna talaga for me. Boo. But I’m excited to “train” my sister and pretend I know things hehe so, I’m still looking forward to having a fun and productive one. :)
